REGULATION (EEC) No 663/75 OF THE COUNCIL of 4 March 1975 fixing the amount of aid for flax and hemp for the 1975/76 marketing year

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , seeds on the world market and of the price for other competing natural products ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Whereas application of these criteria entails fixing Article 43 thereof; prices at levels higher than those adopted for the preceding marketing year ; Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC ) No 1308/70 ( 1 ) of 29 June 1970 on the common Whereas for the 1974/75 marketing year the amount organization of the market in flax and hemp, as of aid for flax produced in the United Kingdom amended by the Act of Accession (2 ), and in was fixed at a level lower than that applicable in particular Article 4 (3 ) thereof ; the other Member States ; whereas, for the 1975 /76 marketing year, pursuant to Article 95 of the Act of Accession, the amount of aid applicable in the Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; United Kingdom, should be brought closer to the common level , Having regard to the Opinion of the European Parliament ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to the Opinion of the Economic and Social Committee ; Sole Article

Whereas Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No 1308/70 For the 1975/76 marketing year the aid referred to provides that the amount of aid for flax and hemp in Article 4 of Regulation (EEC ) 1308 /70 shall be : produced within the Community shall be fixed ( a) as regards flax : annually; — 128-20 units of account per hectare for the "Whereas in accordance with Article 4 (2 ) of that United Kingdom ; Regulation this amount shall be fixed per hectare sown and harvested so as to ensure a balance — 188-15 units of account per hectare for the between the required volume of production within other Member States ; the Community and the potential outlets for that production ; whereas, when it is fixed, account must (b ) as regards hemp, 16L90 units of account per be taken of the price for flax and hemp fibres and hectare for all Member States .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
