REGULATION ( EEC) No 1301 / 75 OF THE COUNCIL of 20 May 1975 temporarily suspending the autonomous duties in the Common Customs Tariff on certain industrial products

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN these suspension measures should be taken only COMMUNITIES, temporarily, fixing their term of validity to coincide with the interests of Community production, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 28 thereof ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to the draft Regulation submitted by Article 1 the Commission ; The autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties for Whereas production in the Community of the products referred to in the present Regulation is at the products listed in the Tables annexed to this Regu­ present inadequate or non-existent within the lation shall be suspended at the level indicated in Community and producers are thus unable to meet respect of each of them . the needs of user industries in the Community ; These suspensions shall be applicable : Whereas it is the Community's interest to suspend the — from 1 July to 31 December 1975 for the products autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties only listed in Table I ; partially in certain cases, particularly because of the — from 1 July 1975 to 30 June 1976 for the existence of Community production and in other products listed in Table II. cases to suspend duties completely ; Whereas taking account of the difficulties involved in Article 2 accurately assessing the development of the economic situation in the sectors concerned in the near future This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 July 1975.
