REGULATION (EEC) No 1740/75 OF THE COMMISSION of 7 July 1975 re-establishing the levying of customs duties on other cotton yarn, not put up for retail sale, measuring, per single yarn, 120 000 m or more per kg, falling within subheading 55.05 B I, originating in developing countries, to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regulation (EEC) No 3046/74 of 2 December 1974 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN covered by referential tariff arrangements, reached that COMMUNITIES, ceiling ; whereas, bearing in mind the objectives of Regulation (EEC) No 3046/74, which provides that Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European the ceiling should not be exceeded, customs duties Economic Community ; should be re-established in respect of the products in Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No question, 3046/74 ( x) of 2 December 1974 establishing preferen tial tariffs in respect of certain cotton textile and like HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : products originating in developing countries, and in particular Article 4 (2) thereof ; Article 1
Whereas Article 1 (3) of that Regulation provides that As from 12 July 1975, customs duties, suspended in customs duties may, for each category of products, be pursuance of Council Regulation (EEC) No 3046/74 suspended up to a Community ceiling equal to of 2 December 1974, shall be re-established in respect 1 57-5 % of the sum arrived at by adding together the of the following products, imported into the Commu metric tonnage of the products in question, imported nity : into the Community in 1968 and coming from coun tries listed in Annex B to that Regulation, but not CCT including products coming from countries already heading Description of goods No covered by various preferential tariff arrangements esta blished by the Community, and 5 % of the 1970 55.05 metric tonnage of such arrangements ; whereas Article Cotton yarn , not put up " for retail sale : 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation provides that the levying of B. Whereas, in respect of other cotton yarn, not put up for retail sale, measuring, per single yarn, 120 000 m Article 2 or more per kg, the ceiling, calculated as indicated above, should be 32 metric tons ; whereas on 12 June This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day 1975, the amounts of imports into the Community of following its publication in the Official Journal of the products in question, originating in countries the European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States . *
