COUNCIL REGULATION ( EEC) No 2418 /75 of 22 September 1975 concerning certain urgent measures concerning imports of certain textile products originating in the Republic of Korea

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 thereof ; Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1023/70 (') of 25 May 1970 establishing a common procedure for the administration of quantitative quotas ; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission ; Whereas, by Regulation (EEC) No 2138/75 (2), the Commission adopted urgent measures concerning imports of certain textile products originating in the Republic of Korea ; Whereas the reasons which justified these arrangements are still valid ; whereas it is, there­ fore, necessary to maintain them in effect until 31 December 1975,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Without prejudice to Article 2 the urgent measures adopted by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2138 /75 concerning imports of certain textile products originating in the Repu­ blic of Korea, shall be applicable until 31 December 1975 . They shall be administered in accordance with Regulation (EEC) No 1023/70 .

Article 2 Heading No ex 61.03 in Annex I to Regulation ( EEC) No 2138 /75 , is amended as follows :

Subheading ex 51.04 A in Annex II to Regulation (EEC) No 2138/75 is amended as follows :

ex 51.04 A ex 51.04-07, Woven fabrics of synthetic textile fibres United 4 981 568 m 2 11 to 48 (continuous), including woven fabrics of Kingdom monofil or strip of subheading 51.01 A or 51.02 A, other than fabrics for tyres or fabrics containing elastomeric yarn and excluding products containing polyester and cotton in which the polyester consti­ tutes more than 50 % of the fibres other than cotton

Article 3 This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
