on long-term private storage aid for certain table wine
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN sion of long-term contracts should be authorized for COMMUNITIES, wine which has been the subject of a short-term contract concluded before the date of entry into force of this Regulation ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; Whereas the Management Committee for Wine has not delivered an opinion within the time limit set by Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No the Chairman, 816/70 ( !) of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provisions for the common organization of the market in wine, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1 932/75 (2), and in particular Articles 5(6) and 6(4) HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : thereof ;
Whereas the forward estimates for the 1975/76 wine Article 1 year show that the quantities of table wine found to be available at the beginning of that wine year exceed Long-term storage contracts for table wines of types R total demand for the wine year by more than four I, R II , A I , and for those table wines which are months' consumption ; whereas the situation in which economically closely linked with these types of table long-term storage contracts may be concluded wines, may be concluded on condition that their pursuant to Article 5 (5) of the aforesaid Regulation actual alcoholic strength is not inferior to 10°. These thus obtains ; whereas under Article 5 (4) of the same contracts shall be valid for a period of nine months. Regulation the conclusion of short-term contracts for the relevant wine is to be suspended ;
Article 2 Whereas the aforesaid forward estimates show that there are surpluses, in particular, for types R I, R II, A The amount of aid fixed in Article 6 (3) of Regulation I table wines as well as for table wines which are (EEC) No 1437/70 shall be increased by 15 % in economically closely linked with these types of table respect of the contracts provided for in Article 1 wines ; whereas provision should therefore be made to above . permit the conclusion of long-term contracts for those wines ;

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
