COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 149/ 76 of 23 January 1976 concerning an invitation to tender for the supply of butteroil as food aid to the United Republic of Tanzania
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES ,
Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Tenders are invited, as provided in Regulation (EEC) Economic Community, No 2247/75, for the costs of manufacture and delivery to the United Republic of Tanzania of a lot of 400 metric tons of butteroil . Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 804/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in milk and milk products ('), as last Article 2 amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 740/75 (2), and in particular Article 6 (7) thereof, 1 . The butter to be used in manufacturing the butteroil shall be taken over from the German inter vention agency. Whereas Council Regulation ( EEC) No 1542/75 of 16 June 1975 on the supply of milk fats under the 1975 2 . The butteroil , which shall meet the requirements food-aid programme to certain developing countries as to quality and packing laid down in the Annex to and to certain international organizations provides Regulation (EEC) No 2247/75, shall be put up in inter alia for the supply to the United Republic of containers of 5 kg. Tanzania of 1 000 metric tons of butteroil obtained from butter held by the intervention agencies (3 ) ; 3 . The marking to be applied on the containers, as whereas that country has requested the supply of 400 prescribed in Chapter II 2 (b) of the Annex metric tons ; mentioned in the preceding paragraph , shall be as follows :
' Butteroil — Gift of the European Economic Commu Whereas Article 5 of Council Regulation (EEC) No nity to the United Republic of Tanzania — For free 1541 /75 of 16 June 1975 laying down general rules distribution '. for the supply of milk fats, under the 1975 food-aid programme to certain developing countries and to certain international organizations (4), requires tenders Article 3 to be invited for such supplies ; 1 . Delivery shall be effected from a port indicated in the tender, chosen from among Community ports Whereas the tendering procedure is effected following accessible for ocean-going ships having a regular line the provisions of Commission Regulation ( EEC) No to the country of destination . 2247/75 of 29 August 1975 concerning invitations to tender for the costs of manufacture and delivery of 2 . Delivery to the port of loading shall take place butteroil as food aid to certain developing countries on a date to be fixed by the intervention agency concerned and which must be later than 1 and earlier and to the World Food Programme (5) ; whereas it is than 20 March 1976 . still necessary to add a number of details, particularly as regards the time limit for submission of tenders and the terms of supply ; Article 4
The time limit for the submission of tenders expires Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation on 10 February 1976 at 12 noon . are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage ment Committee for Milk and Milk Products , Article 5 (') OJ No L 148 , 28 . 6 . 1968 , p . 13 . This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
