COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 680/76 of 26 March 1976 re-establishing the levying of customs duties on men's and boys' under garments, including collars, shirt fronts and cuffs, of cotton fabric falling within heading No ex 61.03 , originating in developing countries to which the preferen tial tariff arrangements set out in Council Regulation (EEC) No 3002/75 of 17 November 1975 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN question, originating in countries covered by preferen COMMUNITIES, tial tariff arrangements, reached that ceiling ; whereas, bearing in mind the objectives of Regulation (EEC) Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European No 3002/75, which provides that the ceiling should Economic Community, not be exceeded, customs duties should be Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No re-established in respect of the products in question, 3002/75 of 17 November 1975 establishing preferen tial tariffs in respect of certain cotton textile and like HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : products originating in developing countries (! ), and in particular Article 4 (2) thereof, Article 1 Whereas Article 1 (3) of that Regulation provides that customs duties may, for each category of products, be As from 30 March 1976, the levying of customs duties, suspended in pursuance of Council Regulation suspended up to a Community ceiling equal to 166 % ( EEC) No 3002/75 of 17 November 1975, shall be of the sum arrived at by adding together the metric re-established in respect of the following products, tonnage of the products in question, imported into imported into the Community : the Community in 1968 and coming from countries listed in Annex B to that Regulation, but not including products coming from countries already CCT heading Description of goods covered by various preferential tariff arrangements esta No blished by the Community, and 5 % of the 1970 metric tonnage of such arrangements ; whereas Article ex 61.03 Men's and boys' under garments, including 2 ( 1 ) of that Regulation provides that the levying of collars, shirt fronts and cuffs : customs duties may be re-established at any time once — Of cotton fabric the Community ceiling has been reached ; Whereas in respect of men's and boys' under garments, including collars, shirt fronts and cuffs, of Article 2 cotton fabric falling within heading No ex 61.03, the ceiling calculated as indicated above should be 331 This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day metric tons ; whereas on 24 March 1976 the amounts following its publication in the Official Journal of of imports into the Community of the products in the European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
