COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 770/76 of 2 April 1976 re-establishing the levying of the customs duties on illuminating glassware, signalling glassware and optical elements of glass, not optically worked or of optical glass, other, falling within subheading 70.14 B, originating in Hong Kong to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regula tion (EEC) No 3010/75 of 17 November 1975 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN optically worked or of optical glass, other, falling COMMUNITIES, within subheading 70.14 B, the ceiling, calculated as indicated above, should be 598 000 units of account, and therefore the maximum 179 400 units of Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European account ; whereas on 29 March 1976 the amounts of Economic Community, imports into the Community of illuminating glass ware, signalling glassware and optical elements of Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No glass, not optically worked or of optical glass, other, 3010/75 of 17 November 1975 establishing preferen falling within subheading 70.14 B, originating in tial tariffs in respect of certain products originating in Hong Kong, a country covered by preferential tariff arrangements, reached that maximum amount ; developing countries ( J), and in particular Article 4 (2) thereof, whereas, bearing in mind the objectives of Regulation (EEC) No 3010/75, which provides that maximum amounts should not be exceeded, customs duties Whereas Article 1 (3) and (4) of that Regulation should be re-established in respect of the products in provides that customs duties may, for each category of question in relation to Hong Kong, products, be suspended up to a Community ceiling, expressed in units of account, which will be equal to 115 % of the sum arrived at by adding together the value of the products in question imported cif into the Community in 1971 and coming from countries HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : and territories covered by those arrangements, but not including products coming from countries and terri tories already covered by various preferential tariff arrangements established by the Community, and Article 1 5 % of the value of 1972 cif imports coming from other countries and from countries and territories already covered by such arrangements ; As from 6 April 1976, the levying of customs duties, suspended in pursuance of Council Regulation (EEC) No 3010/75 of 17 November 1975, shall be Whereas, having regard to that ceiling, the amounts re-established in respect of the following products, for products originating in any one of the countries or imported into the Community and originating in territories listed in Annex B to that Regulation should Hong Kong : be within a maximum Community amount repre senting 50 % of that ceiling, with the exception of CCT certain products for which the maximum amount is to heading Description of goods be reduced to the percentage indicated in Annex A to No that Regulation ; whereas, for these products, this reduced percentage will be 30 % ; 70.14 Illuminating glassware, signalling glassware and optical elements of glass, not optically worked or of optical glass : Whereas Article 2 (2) of that Regulation provides that the levying of customs duties may be re-established at B.
