COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1203/76 of 21 May 1976 re-establishing the levying of customs duties on other outer garments and clothing accessories, etc., of cotton , falling within subheadings 60.05 A ex II ex B , originating in Singapore to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regulation (EEC) No 3002/75 of 17 November 1975 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN subheadings 60.05 A ex II ex B, the ceiling, calculated COMMUNITIES , as indicated above, should be 166 metric tons, and therefore the maximum amount is 49-80 metric tons ; whereas on 17 May 1976 the amounts of imports into the Community of other outer garments and clothing Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European accessories, etc., of cotton , falling within subheadings Economic Community, 60.05 A ex II ex B, originating in Singapore, a country covered by preferential tariff arrangements, reached that maximum amount ; whereas, bearing in mind the Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No objectives of Regulation (EEC) No 3002/75, which 3002/75 of 17 November 1975 establishing preferen provides that maximum amounts should not be tial tariffs in respect of certain cotton textile and like exceeded , customs duties should be re-established in products originating in developing countries ( !), and respect of the products in question in relation to in particular Article 4 (2) thereof, Singapore,
Whereas Article 1 (3) and (4) of that Regulation provides that customs duties may, for each category of products, be suspended up to a Community ceiling HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : equal to 1 66 % of the sum arrived at by adding together the value of the products in question , metric tons , imported into the Community in 1968 and coming from countries listed in Annex B to that Regu lation , but not including products coming from coun Article 1 tries already covered by various preferential tariff arran gements established by the Community, and 5 % of the 1970 metric tonnage of such imports coming As from 25 May 1976, the levying of customs duties, from other countries and from countries already suspended in pursuance of Council Regulation (EEC) covered by such arrangements ; whereas, having regard No 3002/75 of 17 November 1975, shall be reesta to that ceiling, the amounts for products originating blished in respect of the following products, imported in any one of the countries listed in Annex B to that into the Community and originating in Singapore : Regulation should be within a maximum Community amount representing 50 % of that ceiling, with the CCT exception of certain products for which the maximum heading Description of goods No amount is to be reduced to the percentage indicated in Annex A to that Regulation ; whereas, for those 60.05 Outer garments, knitted or crocheted, not products, this reduced percentage will be 30 % ; elastic or rubberized : A. Whereas, in respect of other outer garments and clothing accessories, etc ., of cotton, falling within This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of (!) OJ No L 310, 29 . 11 . 1975, p. 9 . the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
