amending Regulation (EEC) No 2757 /75 as regards the accession compensatory amounts and coefficients to be applied thereto for cereals

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas Article 52 of the Act of Accession provides COMMUNITIES, that the prices fixed for the new Member States shall be aligned with the level of the common prices in six Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European stages ; whereas, for the 1976/77 marketing year this Economic Community, alignment results in the prices for common wheat and barley which are the subject of Council Regulation Having regard to the Act of Accession , and in parti­ (EEC) No 1 151 /76 (2 ) ; whereas, in accordance with cular Article 62 ( 1 ) thereof, Article 55 (2) of the Act of Accession the difference between these prices and the common prices consti­ Having regard to the proposal from the Commission , tutes the accession compensatory amount that is valid for the new marketing year ; Whereas the compensatory amounts applicable until 31 July 1976 for common wheat and barley were laid Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 fixed down in Article 1 of Council Regulation (EEC) No coefficients to be applied to the compensatory amount 2757/75 of 29 October 1975 laying down general for the reference cereal ; whereas , in accordance with rules for the system of accession compensatory Article 2 (2) of the said Regulation , these coefficients amounts for cereals (') ; whereas, in accordance with are to be progressively aligned , Article 55 (2) of the Act of Accession , these amounts correspond to the difference between the prices fixed for the new Member State concerned and the HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : common prices ;

Article1¶

The following shall be substituted for Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 :

'Article 1

The compensatory amounts applicable until 31 July 1977 in trade between the Community as originally constituted and the new Member States, and between those States and third countries, shall , for the following cereals, be as follows :

Article2¶

The following shall be substituted for Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 2757/ 75 :

' 1 . The compensatory amounts applicable until 31 July 1977 in trade between the Community x originally constituted and the new Member States, and between those States and third countries , shall be calculated by applying the following coefficients to the compensatory amounts for the reference cereal :

Article 3 This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 1976.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
