COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1704/ 76 of 14 July 1976 fixing the amount by which the levy on imports of rice from the Arab Republic of Egypt is to be reduced

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN rules for the application of Regulation ( EEC) No COMMUNITIES , 2412/73 (3), the reference period is to be the quarter preceding the month in which the amount is fixed ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Wfiereas the levies applicable during the months of April , May and June 1976 are therefore to be taken Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No into consideration , 1418/76 of 21 June 1976 on the common organiza­ tion of the market in rice ('), HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1434/76 of 21 June 1976 on imports of rice from the Arab Republic of Egypt (2 ), and in particular Article 1 Article 1 thereof, The amount referred to in Article 1 of Regulation Whereas Regulation ( EEC) No 1434/76 provides that ( EEC) No 1434/76 by which the levy on imports of the levy calculated in accordance with Article 1 1 of rice originating in and coming from the Arab Repu­ Regulation ( EEC) No 1418/76 is to be reduced by an blic of Egypt is to be reduced shall be as shown in the amount to be fixed by the Commission each quarter ; Annex . whereas this amount must be equal to 25 % of the average of the levies applied during a reference period ; Article 2 Whereas, under Commission Regulation ( EEC) No This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 2942/73 of 30 October 1973 laying down detailed 1976 .
