COUNCIL REGULATION (ECSC, EEC, EURATOM) No 3177/76

adjusting the remuneration and pensions of officials and other servants of the European Communities and the weightings applied thereto
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing a single Council and a single Commission of the European Communities,
Having regard to the Staff Regulations of officials and the conditions of employment of other servants of the European Communities as laid down by Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 (!), as last amended by Regulation (ECSC, EEC, Euratom) No 261 5/76 (2), and in particular Articles 64, 65 ( 1 ) and 82 of those Staff Regulations and the first paragraph of Article 20 and Article 64 of those conditions of employment,
Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,
Whereas a review of the remunerations of officials and other servants carried out on the basis of a report by the Commission has shown that the remuneration and pensions of officials and the remuneration of other servants of the Communities should be adjusted ;
Whereas the Council, in its Decision of 29 June 1976, fixed the method of calculation to be used in the periodical reviews of the remuneration of officials and other servants of the Communities,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :
Article1¶
1 . With effect from 1 July 1976 the Staff Regulations of officials of the European Communities shall be amended as follows :
(a) The following table shall be substituted for the table of basic monthly salaries in Article 66 :

Article 3 (b) Pensions for which entitlement has accrued by or on 1 January 1977 shall be calculated from that date for temporary staff covered by Article 1 . with effect from 1 July 1976 the temporary 2 (d) of the conditions of employment of other fixed allowance referred to in Article 4a of Annex VII servants by reference to the table of basic to the Staff Regulations shall be : monthly salaries laid down in Article 20 of the conditions of employment, as amended by — Bfrs 964 per month for officials in grade C 4 or Article 2 (2) (a) of this Regulation. C 5,
— Bfrs 1 478 per month for officials in grade C 1 , C 2 or C 3 . Article 5
2. With effect from 1 January 1977 the temporary 1 . (a) With effect from 1 July 1976 the weightings fixed allowance referred to in Article 4a of Annex VII applicable to the remuneration of officials to the Staff Regulations shall be : employed in the countries listed below shall be as follows : — Bfrs 1 521 per month for officials in grade C 4 or C 5, 157-8 Belgium Denmark 193-5 — Bfrs 2 332 per month for officials in grade C 1 , Germany 130-1 C 2 or C 3 . France 190-0 Ireland 201-3 Italy 189-3 3. The temporary fixed allowance referred to in Luxembourg 157-8 Article 4a of Annex VII to the Staff Regulations shall Netherlands 148-1 be payable until 30 June 1977. United Kingdom 199-1 Japan 229-4 Switzerland 129-8 United States 203-5 Article 4 (b) With effect from 1 July 1976 the weighting applicable to pensions in accordance with the 1 . Article7¶
The allowances of Bfrs 2 685, 4 430 and 6 041 laid down in Article 1 of Regulation (ECSC, EEC, Euratom) No 300/76 (') for shiftwork shall be replaced : — with effect from 1 July 1976, by Bfrs 2 795, 4 612 and 6 289 respectively, — with effect from 1 January 1977, by Bfrs 4 411 , 7 277 and 9 924 respectively.
Article8¶
Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 3191 /74 (2), Regulation (ECSC, EEC, Euratom) No 1 592/76 (3) and the salary table in Article 1 (5) of Regulation (EEC) No 2615/76 are replaced with effect from 1 July 1976.
Article9¶
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.
