COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 63/ 77 of 13 January 1977 amending for the fifth time Regulation ( EEC) No 1143/74 as regards the amount of subsidies for certain wine products consigned to Ireland or to the United Kingdom during the period 1 January to 30 June 1977
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage ment Committee for Wine, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 3576/73 of 28 December 1973 on the extension and modifications of the arrangements made by Regula tion (EEC) No 1253/73 on the importation of the wine product exported under the label of 'Cyprus Article 1 sherry' originating in and coming from Cyprus, and the introduction of subsidies for similar wine products produced in the Community as originally constituted Article 2 of Regulation (EEC) No 1143/74 is hereby amended to read as follows : and exported to Ireland and the United Kingdom ( J), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1 606/76 (2), and in particular Article 5 thereof, 'The subsidy provided for in Article 4 of Regula tion (EEC) No 3576/73 is hereby fixed as regards products in respect of which customs formalities Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No on consignment have been completed during the 816/70 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provi period : sions for the common organization of the market in wine (3), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No (a) 1 January to 31 December 1974, at 24 units of 2842/76 (4 ), and in particular Article 29 (3) thereof, account per hectolitre ; Whereas the arrangements provided for under Regula (b) 1 January to 31 December 1975, at : tion (EEC) No 3576/73 were extended by Regulation — 38 units of account per hectolitre for the (EEC) No 1606/76 until 30 June 1977 ; whereas certain amendments should therefore be made to products of an actual alcoholic strength exceeding 15° but not exceeding 18° , Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1143/74 of 7 May 1974 laying down implementing provisions and fixing — 5 units of account per hectolitre for the the amount of subsidies for wine products similar to products of an actual alcoholic strength the wine product exported under the label of 'Cyprus exceeding 18° but not exceeding 22° ; sherry' produced in the Community as originally constituted and consigned to Ireland or to the United (c) 1 January 1976 to 30 June 1977 at : Kingdom (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2052/ 76 (6) ; — 10 units of account per hectolitre for the products of an actual alcoholic strength exceeding 15° but not exceeding 18° , Whereas the difference between the prices on the British and Irish markets of the wine products — 15 units of account per hectolitre for the exported under the label of 'Cyprus sherry' and the products of an actual alcoholic strength prices of similar Community products, which should exceeding 18° but not exceeding 21° . be used as the basis for the calculation of the amount of aid granted in respect of Community products in accordance with Article 4 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 3576/73 , has not altered in such way as to necessitate Article 2 changing that amount after 1 January 1977 ; This Regulation shall enter into force on the day (■) OJ No L 359, 28 . 12 . 1973, p. 33 . This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
