COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC ) No 79/77

of 14 January 1977 amending Regulation (EEC) No 571/76 following the fixing of a new exchange rate to be applied in Ireland in agriculture

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN whereas, therefore, an addition needs to be made to COMMUNITIES , Regulation (EEC ) No 571 /76 ;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Having regard to the Treaty establishing the are in accordance with the opinions of the relevant European Economic Community, management committees,

Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 557/76 of 15 March 1976 on the exchange rates to be HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : applied in agriculture and repealing Regulation (EEC) No 475/75 ( x ), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Article 1 No 3206/76 (2 ), and in particular Article 3 thereof,

Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 571 /76 is Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 571 /76 hereby amended as follows : of 15 March 1976 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 ' 1 . The provisions of the last subparagraph of on the exchange rates to be applied in agriculture and Article 4 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1134/68 repealing Regulation (EEC) No 475/75 (3), as last shall apply to the products and Member States amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 2609/76 (4), concerned with effect from the dates set out in provided that the provisions of the last subparagraph Article 2 (2), (3 ), (4), (5 ) and ( 6) of Regulation of Article 4 ( 1 ) of Council Regulation (EEC) No (EEC ) No 557/ 76.' 1134/68 of 30 July 1968 laying down rules for the implementation of Regulation (EEC) No 653 /68 on conditions for alterations to the value of the unit of Article 2 account used for the common agricultural policy (5) shall apply to the products and the Member States The following subparagraph is added to Article 2 (2) concerned with effect from the dates set out in Article of Regulation (EEC ) No 571 /76 : 2 ( 2), (3 ), (4) and (5 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 557/76 ;

'With respect to the fixing of the representative rate for the Irish pound to take effect from 17 Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 3206/76 amended January 1977 the said provisions shall apply only Article 2 of Regulation ( EEC) No 557/76 to take to advance fixings and the relevant documents or account of the new representative rate fixed for the certificates issued before 22 December 1976 Irish pound with effect from 17 January 1977; within the meaning of Article 9 ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC) No 193 /75 .'
