COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 379/77 of 24 February 1977 amending for the second time Regulation ( EEC) No 2804/76 on the distillation of wines suitable for producing certain potable spirits obtained from wine with a registered designation or origin for the 1976/77 marketing year

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN the Commission cases in which distillers have not COMMUNITIES, fulfilled their obligations and the measures taken as a result should also be postponed ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage­ Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No ment Committee for Wine , 816/70 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provi­ sions for the common organization of the market in wine ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 2842/76 (2 ), and in particular Article 6b (4) thereof, Article 1 Whereas, by Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 2804/76 of 19 November 1976 (3 ), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2804/76 is hereby amended to Regulation (EEC) No 61 /77 (4), the distillation read as follows : provided for in the second subparagraph of Article 6b 1 . in the last paragraph of Article 1 , for ' 15 May 1977' ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 816/70 is permitted for read ' 15 July 1977'; the 1976/77 marketing year ; 2. in Article 5 (4), for '1 July 1977' read ' 10 August Whereas by Regulation ( EEC) No 61 /77 the Commis­ 1977'. sion postponed the dates laid down in Regulation (EEC) No 2804/76 for the submission of applications Article 2 for the approval of contracts, and for the approval of the contracts ; whereas , in view of the rate of progress This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day of the distillation operations , the final date for those following its publication in the Official Journal of operations and the final date for communicating to the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
