COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 548 / 77 of 16 March 1977 amending Regulation (EEC) No 3148 /76 on preventive distillation for the wine growing year 1976/ 77
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES , Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Article 1 Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No Regulation (EEC) No 3148 /76 is amended as follows : 816/70 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provi sions for the common organization of the market in (a) In Article 2(1 ) ' 28 February 1977' is replaced by wine ('), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No '30 April 1977'; 2842/76 (2), and in particular Article 6b (4) thereof, (b) In Article 2(2) ' 15 March 1977' is replaced by ' 15 Whereas Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 3148 /76 May 1977'; of 23 December 1976 on preventive distillation for the wine-growing year 1976/ 77 (3 ) provides that appli cations for approval of distillation contracts should be (c) In Article 6(1 ) ' 15 April 1977' is replaced by ' 15 submitted between 26 December 1976 and 28 June 1977'. February 19 77 ; whereas this period has been found to be too short, particularly as certain wines that might be used for such distillation were during that time held under short-term storage contracts ; whereas to Article 2 ensure that such distillation has its full effect, the period initially provided for should be extended by This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its two months ; publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage ment Committee for Wine , It shall apply with effect from 1 March 1977.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
