COUNCIL REGULATION (EEC) No 552/77 of 14 March 1977 repealing Regulation (EEC) No 1823/76 maintaining in effect the rules whereby imports into the Benelux countries of cotton yarn not put up for retail sale, orig inating in Mexico, are subject to import authorizations
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN undertaken in this connection between the Commu COMMUNITIES , nity and Mexico ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Whereas, following consultations between the Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 Community and Mexico, it appears that in view of the thereof, recent development of trade in the goods concerned and the satisfactory assurances regarding its future Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No given by the Mexican authorities, the rules referred to 1439 /74 of 4 June 1974 on common rules for above should be repealed, imports ('), and in particular Article 15 thereof,
After consultation within the Advisory Committee set up under Article 5 of the said Regulation, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,
Whereas in Regulation ( EEC) No 1 823/76 (2 ) the Article 1 Council maintained in effect for a period of one year the rules whereby imports into the Benelux countries Regulation (EEC) No 1823/76 is hereby repealed. of cotton yarn not put up for retail sale, originating in Mexico, are subject to authorization as established in Article 2 Regulation (EEC) No 1 369/76 (3) as interim protective measures ; This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day Whereas these measures were adopted without preju following its publication in the Official Journal of dice to the pursuit and the outcome of consultations the European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
