COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1482 / 77 of 1 July 1977 amending for the third time Regulation ( EEC) No 3148 /76 on preventive distilla­ tion for the wine-growing year 1976/77

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES , are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Wine , Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 816/70 of 28 April 1970 laying down additional provi­ sions for the common organization of the market in wine ('), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No Article 1 528 /77 (2 ), and in particular Article 6b (4) thereof, In Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC) No 3148 / 76 the Whereas Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 3148 /76 date ' 30 June 1977' is hereby amended to read ' 15 of 23 December 1976 on preventive distillation for July 1977'. the wine-growing year 1976/77 (3 ), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 101 8 /77 (4), provides that appli­ cations for the approval of distillation contracts are to Article 2 be submitted between 26 December 1976 and 30 June 1977 ; whereas, in view of the recent large This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its increase in the number of applications, this period has publication in the Official Journal of the European proved to be too short ; whereas the period should Communities. therefore be extended until 15 July 1977 to enable such distillation operations to have their , full impact ; It shall apply with effect from 1 July 1977 .
