COUNCIL REGULATION ( EEC) No 1552/77 of 11 July 1977 maintaining in force the arrangements for the authorization of imports into the United Kingdom of certain articles of clothing originating in Macao

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN December 1977 and some of these goods are likely to COMMUNITIES , be imported during the first quarter of 1978 ; whereas these arrangements should therefore remain in force Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European until 31 March 1978 , Economic Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 1439 /74 of 4 June 1974 on common rules for HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : imports ( J ), and in particular Article 13 thereof, After consultation within the Advisory Committee set Article 1 up by Article 5 of the said Regulation , Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, The arrangements for the authorization of imports into the United Kingdom of certain articles of Whereas the Commission introduced , by Regulation clothing originating in Macao, adopted by Regulation ( EEC) No 11 76 /77 (2), arrangements for subjecting ( EEC) No 1176/77, shall remain applicable until 31 imports into the United Kingdom of certain articles March 1978 . of clothing originating in Macao to authorization ;

Whereas the factors which justified the introduction Article 2 of these arrangements still persist ; Whereas the arrangements in question concern This Regulation shall enter into force on 17 July imports of goods exported from Macao up to 31 1977 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
