COUNCIL REGULATION (EEC) No 1666/77
of 20 July 1977
amending Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 as regards the accession compensatory amounts for cereals and the corresponding coefficients
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas Article 52 of the Act of Accession provides COMMUNITIES, that the prices fixed for the new Member States shall be aligned with the level of the common prices in six stages ; whereas the most recent alignment, that for Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European the 1977/78 marketing year, has resulted in the prices Economic Community, for common wheat and barley fixed by Council Regu lation (EEC) No 1 1 52/77 (3); whereas in accordance with Article 55 (2) of the Act of Accession , the differ Having regard to the Act of Accession, and in parti ence between these prices and the common prices cular Article 62 ( 1 ) thereof, constitutes the accession compensatory amount for the new marketing year ; Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,
Whereas Council Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 fixed Whereas the compensatory amounts applicable until coefficients to be applied to the compensatory amount 31 December 1977 for common wheat and barley for the reference cereal ; whereas, in accordance with were laid down in Article 1 of Council Regulation Article 2 (2) of that Regulation, these coefficients are (EEC) No 2757/75 of 29 October 1975 laying down to be progressively aligned ; general rules for the system of accession compensa tory amounts for cereals ( 1), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1 620/76 (2); whereas, in accordance with Article 55 (2) of the Act of Accession , these amounts correspond to the difference between the prices fixed for the new Member State concerned and the common prices ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :
Article1¶
The following is substituted for Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 :
The compensatory amounts applicable until 31 December 1977 in trade between the Community as originally constituted and the new Member States, and between those States and third countries, shall for the following cereals, be as follows :

Article2¶
The following shall be substituted for Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 2757/75 : ' 1 . The compensatory amounts applicable until 31 December 1977 in trade between the Community as originally constituted and the new Member States, and between those States and third countries, shall be calculated by applying the following coefficients to the compensatory amounts for the reference cereal :

Article 3 This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 1977.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
