COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1845 /77 of 10 August 1977 discontinuing the protective measures applicable to the import of peaches origi nating in Greece

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas available supplies in Greece will also COMMUNITIES, decrease over the next few weeks ;

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Whereas the above assessment of the market situation Economic Community, leads to the general conclusion that the Community market is no longer likely to undergo, as a result of Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No imports of the products which have been the subject 1035/72 of 18 May 1972 on the common organization of protective measures, serious disturbances which of the market in fruit and vegetables ('), as last could endanger the objectives set out in Article 39 of amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1 034/77 (2), and in the Treaty ; whereas, in these circumstances, the particular Article 29 (2) thereof, protective measures applicable to the import of Whereas Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 1704/77 peaches should be discontinued, of 27 July 1977 (3) laid down protective measures applicable to the import of peaches originating in Greece ; HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Whereas at present most of the Community produc­ tion of peaches has already been marketed ; Article 1 Whereas for several days now an increase in the level of prices has been recorded on the Community Regulation (EEC) No 1704/77 is hereby repealed . markets ; whereas, since most of the Community production has been marketed, a certain degree of Article 2 stability in the prices for this product is to be expected over the next few weeks ; This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its Whereas, in these circumstances, withdrawals of large publication in the Official Journal of the European quantities of peaches are no longer to be feared ; Communities.
