introducing monetary compensatory amounts in respect of durum wheat and the products derived therefrom

Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts intro HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : duced by Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 938/77 of 29 August 1977 (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Article 1 No 2542/77 (4) ; whereas durum wheat and the products derived therefrom are not included in the list of products to which such amounts apply ; Parts 1 and 8 of Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 938/77 shall be supplemented as indicated in the Whereas the absence of monetary compensatory Annex to this Regulation , subject always to the amounts has in recent months caused difficulties as amounts set out therein being altered as a result of regards both durum wheat and the products derived fluctuations in the exchange rates referred to in therefrom ; whereas deflections of trade in the case of Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 974/71 . durum wheat and distortions of competition in the case of some of the products in question have been noted ; whereas this state of affairs is furthermore Article 2 worsened by the sharp drop in supplies of home grown durum wheat and the increased need for This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its imports from non-member countries ; publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. Whereas it is necessary to remedy this state of affairs by introducing the amounts in question in respect of durum wheat and the products derived therefrom ; It shall apply with effect from 2 January 1978 .
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States . >
