COUNCIL REGULATION ( EEC) No 2844 / 77 of 19 December 1977 on the conclusion of the Agreement extending the Interim Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Portuguese Republic

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : COMMUNITIES, Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European The Agreement extending the Interim Agreement Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 between the European Economic Community and the thereof, Portuguese Republic is hereby approved on behalf of the Community. Having regard to the recommendation from the Commission , The text of the Agreement is annexed to this Regula­ tion . Whereas the Interim Agreement between the Euro­ Article 2 pean Economic Community and the Portuguese Repu­ blic (*) signed in Brussels on 20 September 1976 The President of the Council is hereby authorized to expires not later than 31 December 1977 ; designate the persons empowered to sign the Agree­ ment for the purpose of binding the Community. Whereas, pending the entry into force of the Addi­ Article 3 tional Protocol between the European Economic Community and the Portuguese Republic signed in This Regulation shall enter into force on the day Brussels on the same day, it is necessary to extend the following its publication in the Official Journal of Interim Agreement, the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
