COUNCIL REGULATION EURATOM , ECSC , EEC No 1461 / 78 of 26 June 1978 adjusting the weightings applied to the remuneration and pensions of officials and other servants of the European Communities

With effect from 1 January 1978 , the weightings Having regard to the proposal from the Commission , applicable to pensions in accordance with the second subparagraph of Article 82 ( 1 ) of the Staff Regulations Whereas, by reason of the substantial rise in the cost shall be as shown below for the Community countries of living which took place during the second half of in which the persons entitled to the pension declare 1977 in a number of countries where officials and their home to be : other servants of the European Communities are employed, the weightings applied to the remuneration Belgium 102-3 Denmark 134-7 and pensions of officials and other servants should be adjusted with effect from 1 January 1978 ; Germany 79-2 France 128.2 Ireland 137-9 Whereas a decision on the Commission proposal for Italy 137-6 the correction of the weightings for three countries of Luxembourg 102-3 employment will be taken only in the light of a study Netherlands 94-6 to be carried out by the Commission , United Kingdom 141-6

If a person entitled to a pension declares his home to be in a country other than those listed above , the HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : weighting applicable to the pension shall be that for Belgium .

Article 1 Article 2 1 . With effect from 1 January 1978 , the weightings A coefficient of 106.084 shall apply to the amounts applicable to the remuneration of officials employed in the countries listed below shall be as follows : listed in Article 4 of Regulation ( EEC , Euratom , ECSC) No 260 / 68 ( 3 ). Article3¶

Article 5 ( 1 ) and (2) of Regulation ( EEC, Euratom , This Regulation shall enter into force on the day ECSC) No 2859/77 is repealed with effect from 1 following its publication in the Official Journal of January 1978 . the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
