COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1889/ 78 of 2 August 1978 re-establishing the levying of customs duties on heavy oils, falling within subheadings 27.10 C I c), C II c), C III c) and d) and originating in developing countries, to which the preferential tariff arrangements set out in Council Regu lation (EEC) No 2705/77 apply
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN No 2705/77 which provides that the ceiling should COMMUNITIES, not be exceeded, customs duties should be re-established in respect of the products in question, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 2705/77 of 28 November 1977 establishing preferen tial tariffs in respect of certain products originating in developing countries ('), and in particular Article 4 (2) thereof, Article 1

Whereas, in respect of heavy oils, originating in coun tries and territories covered by preferential tariff arran gements, imports into the Community reached on 24 Article 2 July 1978 the ceiling of 1 700 000 tonnes ; whereas, bearing in mind the objectives of Regulation (EEC) This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day (') OJ No L 324, 19.. 12. 1977, p. 23. following its publication in the Official Journal of (2) OJ No L 324, 19. 12. 1977, p. 26, footnote (')• the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
