COUNCIL REGULATION (EEC) No 1924/78 of 25 July 1978
amending Regulation (EEC) No 2635 /77 on the opening, allocation and administration of Community tariff quotas for certain hand-woven fabrics, pile and chenille, falling within heading Nos ex 50.09, ex 55.07, ex 55.09 and ex 58.04 of the Common Customs Tariff
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, mission to the Community's customs authorities of a certificate issued by the recognized authorities of the country of origin certifying that the fabrics concerned Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European are hand-woven ; Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 thereof, Whereas trade with Guatemala is foreseen in the fabrics concerned and it is therefore necessary for practical Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, reasons to supplement the aforementioned Regulation by adding an example of the certificate to be issued by the authorities in that country, Whereas, by Regulation (EEC) No 2635/77 (*), the Council opened and allocated between the Member States duty-free Community tariff quotas for 1978 of the values (for customs purposes) shown below for the following products :
— 2 200 000 units of account for certain hand-woven HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : fabrics of silk or of waste silk other than noil and hand-woven fabrics of noil silk, falling within head Article 1 ing No ex 50.09 of the Common Customs Tariff,
— 2 000 000 units of account for certain hand-woven Annex X given in the Annex to this Regulation shall be cotton fabrics, pile and chenille, falling within head added to Regulation (EEC) No 2635/77. ing Nos ex 55.07, ex 55.09 and ex 58.04 of the Common Customs Tariff; Article 2 whereas under the terms of Article 1 (4 ) of the aforementioned Regulation, products may be admitted This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 September under these Community tariff quotas only on the sub 1978 .
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
