COUNCIL REGULATION ( EEC) No 1953/78 of 11 August 1978 maintaining quantitative restrictions on the importation into Italy, France and the United Kingdom of certain textile products originating in Greece

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN whereas the factors which justified the introduction COMMUNITIES, of these restrictions still persist ; whereas it is accord­ ingly necessary to maintain them until 31 December Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European 1978 , Economic Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 1439/74 of 4 June 1974 on common rules for Article 1 imports ('), and in particular Article 13 thereof, After consultation within the Advisory Committee The quantitative restrictions on the importation into established by Article 5 of that Regulation, Italy, France and the United Kingdom of certain textile products originating in Greece, introduced by Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, Regulation (EEC) No 1574/78 , shall remain applicable until 31 December 1978 . Whereas by Regulation (EEC) No 1 574/78 (2) the Commission introduced quantitative restrictions on Article 2 the importation into Italy, France and the United Kingdom of certain textile products originating in This Regulation shall enter into force on 18 August Greece ; 1978 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
