COUNCIL REGULATION ( EEC) No 679/ 79 of 2 April 1979 fixing the basic price and the buying-in price for cauliflowers for the period 1 May to 30 June 1979 and for tomatoes, peaches and lemons for the period 1 to 30 June 1979

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN whereas, in order to ensure continuity in the prices of COMMUNITIES, the said products, it is accordingly necessary to fix the basic prices and the buying-in prices for cauliflowers Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European for May and June 1979 and for tomatoes, peaches and Economic Community, and in particular Article 43 lemons for June 1979 , thereof, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72 of 18 May 1972 on the common organization of the market in fruit and vegetables ('), as last HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 325/79 (2), and in particular Article 16(1 ) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, Article 1 Having regard to the opinion of the European Parlia­ ment (3 ), For the period 1 May to 30 June 1979 , the basic Whereas, pursuant to Article 16(1 ) of Regulation prices and the buying-in prices for cauliflowers, toma­ (EEC) No 1035/72, a basic price and a buying-in price toes, peaches and lemons, the periods during which are to be fixed for each marketing year for each of the they shall apply, and the standard qualities to which products listed in Annex II to the said Regulation ; they relate shall be as set out in the Annex hereto . whereas the products harvested in a given production year are marketed : — as regards cauliflowers, from May to April of the Article 2 following year, — as regards tomatoes, from January to December, — as regards peaches, from May to October, This Regulation shall enter into force on the day — as regards lemons, from June to May of the following its publication in the Official Journal of following year ; the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
