amending certain monetary compensatory amounts in the cereals sector

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN temporarily in respect of the products in question COMMUNITIES , the advance fixing of the monetary compensatory amounts governed by Commission Regulation (EEC) Having regard to the Treaty establishing the No 243 / 78 ( 6 ); European Economic Community , Whereas the Management Committee for Cereals has not delivered an opinion within the time limit Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) set by its chairman, No 974/71 of 12 May 1971 on certain measures of conjunctural policy to be taken in agriculture following the temporary widening of the margins HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : of fluctuation for the currencies of certain Member States (*), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) Article 1 No 652/79 (2 ), and in particular Article 6 thereof, As regards Part 1 of Annex I to Regulation (EEC) Whereas the monetary compensatory amounts No 710/79 , the monetary compensatory amounts introduced by Regulation ( EEC ) No 974/71 were for the products indicated in the Annex to this fixed by Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 710/79 Regulation shall, subject to an alteration in those of 9 April 1979 (3 ), as last amended by Regulation amounts according to the movement of the rates of ( EEC ) No 745 /79 ( 4 ) ; exchange referred to in Article 2 ( 1 ) of Regulation ( EEC) No 974/71 , be replaced by the amounts Whereas a first adjustment of the coefficients for appearing in the Annex hereto . calculating the monetary compensatory amounts was introduced in respect of maize groats and meal Article 2 by Commission Regulation ( EEC ) No 1771 /77 (5 ); whereas a thorough study has led to the conclusion In respect of the products referred to in the Annex that it is possible to make a further adjustment hereto, advance fixing of the monetary compen­ in respect of maize groats and meal and in respect satory amount shall be suspended until the day of other processed products from cereals in order before the date referred to in Article 3 of this the better to take account of the technical conditions Regulation . of processing and of the inter-relationships of these products ; Article 3
