COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 900/79 of 4 May 1979 extending Regulation ( EEC) No 701 /79 on the intervention measures to be taken in the beef and veal sector following outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease in certain French departments

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Beef and Veal , Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization Article 1 of the market in beef and veal ('), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 425/77 (2), and in particular The date 6 May 1979 given in Article 3 of Regulation Article 6 ( 5) thereof, ( EEC) No 701 /79 is hereby replaced by 1 June 1979 .

Whereas there have been further outbreaks of foot­ Article 2 and-mouth disease in France since the adoption of Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 70 1 /79 (3) ; whereas This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its it is accordingly necessary to extend the period of publication in the Official Journal of the European application of the said Regulation ; Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
