COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1439/ 79 of 11 July 1979 amending Regulations (EEC) No 783/77 and (EEC) No 582/78 fixing in respect of the 1976 and 1977 crops export refunds for raw tobacco

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 558/79 of COMMUNITIES, 23 March 1979 (6) fixed at a slightly higher level the refunds granted to these same varieties in respect of Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European the 1978 crop ; whereas it is appropriate, in order to Economic Community, ensure that they are exported under similar condi­ tions, to align the levels of the refunds granted in Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 727/70 of 21 April 1970 on the common organization respect of the 1976 and 1977 crops with those of the of the market in raw tobacco (!), as last amended by refunds granted to the 1978 crop ; the Act of Accession, and in particular the first Whereas the Management Committee for Tobacco has sentence of the third sub-paragraph of Article 9 (2) not delivered an opinion within the time limit set by thereof, its chairman , Whereas export refunds were fixed in respect of certain varieties of tobacco from the 1976 and 1977 crops, respectively by Commission Regulation (EEC) HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : No 783/77 of 18 April 1977 (2), as last amended by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 3007/78 (3) and by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 582/78 of 22 Article 1 March 1978 (4), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2537/78 (5) ; The Annex to Regulations (EEC) No 783/77 and (EEC) No 582/78 is hereby replaced by the Annex Whereas the final date for the granting of these hereto . refunds was fixed at 31 July 1979 ; whereas, in respect of certain varieties of this tobacco, export possibilities after that date have emerged ; whereas it is advisable Article 2 to grant refunds in respect of these varieties until 31 December 1979 in order to enable the tobacco to be This Regulation shall enter into force on 12 July exported ; 1979. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
