COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 248/81 of 30 January 1981 fixing the export refunds on olive oil

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN — the economic aspect of the proposed exports ; COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Wherear, furthermore, Article 4 of Regulation No Economic Community, 171 /67/EEC provides that the said refund must be fixed in accordance with the following criteria : Having regard to Council Regulation No 136/66/EEC of 22 September 1966 on the establishment of a — the olive oil prices in the main producing areas of common organization of the market in oils and the Community ; fats (*), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 3454/80 (2), — the most favourable quotations recorded on the Having regard to Council Regulation No 171 /67/EEC various markets of importing third countries ; of 27 June 1967 on export refunds and levies on olive and oil (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2429/72 (4), and in particular the first sentence of Article 7 thereof, — the marketing costs and the most favourable trans­ port charges from Community markets in the Having regard to the opinion of the Monetary main producing areas to ports or other points of Committee, export in the Community, as well as costs incurred in placing the goods on the world market ; Whereas Article 20 of Regulation No 136/66/EEC provides that, where prices within the Community are higher than world market prices, the difference Whereas Article 5 of Regulation No 171 /67/EEC between these prices may be covered by a refund provides that the refund on olive oil may be varied when olive oil is exported to third countries ; according to destination where the world market situa­ tion or the specific requirements of certain markets Whereas the detailed rules for fixing and granting make this necessary ; export refunds on olive oil are contained in Regula­ tions No 171 /67/EEC and (EEC) No 616/72 (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2962/77 (6) ; Whereas Article 7 of Regulation No 171 /67/EEC provides that the refund must be fixed at least once Whereas Article 2 of Regulation No 171 /67/EEC every month ; whereas it may, if necessary, be altered provides that the refund must be the same for the in the intervening period ; whole Community ;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation Article 2 are in accordance with the opinion of the Manage­ ment Committee for Oils and Fats,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article1¶

The export refunds on the products listed in Article 1 (2) (c) of Regulation No 136/66/EEC, shall be as set This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 February out in the Annex hereto. 1981 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
