supplementing the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 771/74 laying down detailed rules for granting aid for flax and hemp
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN
COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1308/70 of 29 June 1970 on the common organization of the market in flax and hemp (1), as last amended by the 1979 Act of Accession, and in particular Article 4 (5) thereof,
Whereas the Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 771/74 of 29 March 1974 laying down detailed rules for granting aid for flax and hemp (2), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 174/81 (3), contains a list of varietes of flax grown mainly for fibre in order to distinguish these varieties from those grown mainly for seed; whereas, as a result of the use in one Member State of a new variety of flax grown mainly for fibre, the said Annex should be supplemented;
Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Flax and Hemp,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article1¶
With effect from the 1982/83 marketing year, the variety Saskia shall be added to the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 771/74.
Article2¶
This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
