COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 209/83 of 27 January 1983 determining the extent to which applications lodged in the month of January 1983 for the issue of import licences in respect of frozen beef intended for processing may be accepted

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation COMMUNITIES, are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 80S/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal ('), as last amended by the Act Article 1 of Accession of Greece, and in particular Article 1 . Every application for an import licence lodged in 14 (4) (a) thereof, accordance with Regulation (EEC) No 1136/79 for the Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No quarter beginning 1 January 1983 shall be granted to 3450/82 (2) fixed the quantity of frozen beef intended the following extent expressed as bone-in beef : for processing which may be imported under special (a) 6-524 % of the quantity requested for beef imports terms in the first quarter of 1983 ; intended for the manufacture of 'preserves' as Whereas Article 15 (6) (a) of Commission Regulation defined by Article 2(5) of Regulation (EEC) No (EEC) No 2377/80 (3), as last amended by Regulation 1136/79 ; (EEC) No 1617/82 (4), lays down that the quantities (b) 56-066 % of the quantity requested for beef applied for may be reduced ; whereas, the applications imports intended for the manufacture of 'preserves' lodged, in conformity with the conditions of Commis­ as defined by Article 2 (6) of Regulation (EEC) No sion Regulation (EEC) No 1 136/79 Q, as amended by 1136/79 .
