on the sale at a price fixed in advance of certain boned beef and veal held by certain intervention agencies

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN laid down the method of calculating the selling prices COMMUNITIES, for those products ; whereas, in order to avoid any confusion, it should be made clear that the prices fixed by this Regulation do not apply as they stand to those Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European products ; Economic Community, Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of . 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal ('), as last amended by the Act of Accession of Greece, and in particular Article 7 (3) HAS ADOPTED THIS ' REGULATION : thereof,

Article 1 Whereas the possibility of permanent intervention in beef and veal has led to the build-up of considerable 1 . During the period 19 March to 4 May 1984, the stocks in the Community ; whereas some of the inter­ sale shall take place of approximately : vention purchases have been stored in the form of boned meat in order to improve the intervention — 2 000 tonnes of boned beef and veal held by the system in accordance with Commission Regulation Danish intervention agency and put into store before 1 October 1983 , (EEC) No 2226/78 (2), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 151 /84 (3) ; — 2 500 tonnes of boned beef and veal held by the German intervention agency and put into store before 1 January 1983, Whereas Article 2 ( 1 ) of Council Regulation (EEC) No — .3 000 tonnes of boned beef and veal held by the 98 /69 (4), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No Irish intervention agency and put into store before 429/77 (*), provides that the selling prices of frozen 1 May 1983, beef and veal bought in by the intervention agencies — 900 tonnes of boned beef held by the United may be fixed in advance ; whereas it is appropriate to Kingdom intervention agency and put into store make use of this system of selling ; before 1 September 1983 .

The qualities and prices of this meat are given in Whereas it is important to comply with the provisions Annex I. of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2173/79 (6) with regard to selling at a price fixed in advance ; 2. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
