COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 940/86 of 1 April 1986 on the sale of boneless beef held by the United Kingdom intervention agency to the armed forces

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 1 . The United Kingdom intervention agency is hereby 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market authorized to sell to the United Kingdom armed forces in beef and veal ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) up to 500 tonnes of boneless beef bought in before 1 No 3768/85 (2), and in particular Article 7 (3) thereof. June 1985 the price of which is given in Annex I. 2. The United Kingdom intervention agency shall first sell products which have been in storage longest. Whereas there are substantial stocks of beef on the market, as a result of intervention pursuant to Article 6 of 3 . The sale shall take place in accordance with the Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 ; whereas the detailed rules provisions of Regulation (EEC) No 732/78 and of Regu­ for sale of the said stocks were drawn up by Commission lation (EEC) No 2173/79 .
