COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 1249/86 of 29 April 1986 determining the extent to which applications lodged in April 1986 for the issue of import licences in respect of frozen beef intended for processing may be accepted
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, of Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 , to reduce proportionally the quantities applied for ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are Economic Community, in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal , Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : in beef and veal ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 3768/85 (2), and in particular Article 14 (4) (a) thereof, Article 1
1 . Every application for an import licence lodged in Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 821 /86 (3) accordance with Regulation (EEC) No 1136/79 for the fixed the quantity of frozen beef intended for processing quarter beginning 1 April 1986 shall be granted to the which may be imported under special terms in the following extent, expressed as bone-in beef : second quarter of 1986 ; (a) 3,197 % of the quantity requested for beef imorts intended for the manufacture of 'preserves' as defined Whereas Article 15 (6) (a) of Commission Regulation by Article 2 (5) of Regulation (EEC) No 1136/79 ; (EEC) No 2377/80 (4), as last amended by Regulation (b) 100 % of the quantity requested for beef imports (EEC) No 381 5/85 Q, lays down that the quantities intended for the manufacture of 'preserves' as defined applied for may be reduced ; whereas, the applications by Article 2 (6) of Regulation (EEC) No 1136/79. lodged in conformity with the conditions of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 11 36/79 (6), as last amended by 2. In conformity with Article 15 (3) of Regulation Regulation (EEC) No 2036/84 Q, relate to total quantities (EEC) No 2377/80, all applications from any one appli which far exceed the quantities available in accordance cant shall be regarded as a single application. with Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 821 /86 ; whereas, under these circumstances and taking care to ensure an Article 2 equitable distribution of the available quantities, it is appropriate, for the system referred to in Article 14 ( 1 ) (a) This Regulation shall enter into force on 30 April 1986.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
