amending Regulation (EEC) No 4134 / 86 on import arrangements for certain textile products
originating in Taiwan
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas provision was made that for 1988 , 1989 , 1990 and
1991 , quotas would be fixed by the Council acting by a
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European qualified majority on a proposal from the Commission ,
Economic Community , and in particular Article 113 ,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC ) No 4134 / 86 of HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 22 December 1986 on import arrangements for certain
textile products originating in Taiwan (*), and in particular
Article 2 thereof,
Article1¶
Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,
Annex II to Regulation (EEC) No 4134 / 86 shall be replaced
Whereas Regulation ( EEC ) No 4134 / 86 establishes import by the Annex to this Regulation .
arrangements for textile products originating in Taiwan for
1987 , 1988 , 1989 , 1990 and 1991 ; whereas it was necessary
to impose Community quantitative import quotas on some of
those products for that period ; Article 2
Whereas , given the trend in the situation concerning imports This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day
into Taiwan of certain products of Community origin , it is following its publication in the Official Journal of the
appropriate to adjust the quota levels for 1987 ; European Communities.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member
States .
