COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 3399/87 of 12 November 1987 on the supply of semi-refined palm oil to Nicaragua as food aid

Characteristics and quality of the goods : The semi-refined palm oil must be of sound, fair and merchantable quality and must meet the following criteria : — water and impurities : maximum 0,25 % ; — free fatty acids : not more than 0,25 % ; — colour (Lovibond 1 cm cell) : red 9 maximum , yellow maximum 35 ; — phosphor : maximum 4 ppm ; — iodine number (Wijs) : 50 to 60 ; — palmitic acid : 41 to 45 % of total fatty acids present ; — cholesterol : maximum 4 % of total sterol content ; — oleic acid : 36 to 41 % of total fatty acids present. 8 .
