COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 3475/87 of 19 November 1987 on the sale at a price fixed in advance of certain boned beef held by certain intervention agencies

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, in order to avoid any confusion, it should be made clear that the prices fixed by this Regulation do not apply as they stand to those products ;

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal ,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 467/87 (2), and in particular Article 7 (3) thereof, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Whereas the possibility of permanent intervention in beef and veal has led to the build-up of considerable stocks in the Community ; whereas some of the intervention Article 1 purchases have been stored in the form of boned meat in order to improve the intervention system in accordance with Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2226/78 (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 3350/87 (4) ; 1 . During the period 23 November 1987 to 8 January 1988 the sale shall take place of approximately :

The qualities and prices of this meat are given in 5. Particulars relating to the quantities and the places Annex II . where the products are stored may be obtained by inter­ ested parties at the addresses given in Annex III . 3 . The intervention agencies shall sell first the meat which has been in storage longest. Article 2 4. Sales shall take place in accordance with the provi­ sions of Regulation (EEC) No 2173/79, and in particular This Regulation shall enter into force on 23 November Articles 2 to 5 thereof. 1987 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
