temporarily suspending the autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties for certain products intended for the construction, maintenance and repair of aircraft

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , Whereas , taking account of the difficulties involved in accurately assessing the development of the economic situation in the sectors concerned in the near future , these suspension measures should be taken only temporarily by fixing the term of validity of this Regulation to six months Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European to coincide with the interests of Community production ; Economic Community , and in particular Article 28 thereof, Whereas , on account of the suspensions concerned , there is a need to take the measures necessary to maintain Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and Community preference, pursuant to Article 32 of the Act of Portugal , and in particular Article 32 thereof, Accession ; whereas , in consequence , the duties under suspension should be considered as basic duties within the meaning of Article 30 ( 1 ) of the said Act , Having regard to the proposal submitted by the Commission ,

Whereas Council Regulation ( EEC) No 3707 / 86 of HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 24 November 1986 temporarily suspending the autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties for certain products intended for use in the construction , maintenance and repair of aircraft (*) provided for the suspension of autonomous customs duties for certain products intended Article 1 for the construction , maintenance and repair of aircraft ; whereas all these suspension measures will expire on From 1 January to 30 June 1988 , the autonomous 31 December 1987 ; Common Customs Tariff duties for the products listed in the Annex shall be totally suspended , provided that the said products are intended , on conditions to be determined Whereas production of the goods is at present inadequate by the competent authorities , for the construction , or non-existent within the Community ; whereas producers maintenance and repair of aircraft . are thus unable to meet the needs of user industries in the Community ;

Article 2 Whereas it is therefore appropriate that it remain possible for industries in the Community , as from 1 January 1988 , The duties under suspension referred to in Article 1 to be supplied with products imported from third countries constitute the basic duties on which the Community of Ten which qualify for the suspension of autonomous customs applies the successive reductions provided for in Article 31 duties for the construction , maintencance and repair of of the Act of Accession to products which are in free aircraft ; circulation in Spain .

Article3¶
