COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 89/88 of 14 January 1988 fixing the import levies on milk and milk products

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Article 1 Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and Portugal,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 804/68 of 1 . The import levies referred to in Article 14 (2) of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market Regulation (EEC) No 804/68 shall be as set out in the Annex hereto . in milk and milk products ('), as last amended by Regula­ tion (EEC) No 3904/87 (2). and in particular Article 14 (8) thereof, 2. There shall be no levy for imports from Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira, for milk and milk Whereas the import levies on milk and milk products products listed in Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No were fixed by Commission Regulation (EEC) No 804/ 68 . 4041 /87 (3);

Whereas it follows from applying the detailed rules contained in Regulation (EEC) No 4041 /87 to the prices Article 2 known to the Commission that the levies at present in force should be altered to the amounts set out in the This Regulation shall enter into force on 16 January Annex hereto, 1988 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .

(') T h e levy on 100 kg of product falling within this subheading is equal to the sum of the f o l l o w i n g :

(a) the amount per kilogram shown, multiplied by the weight of milk and milk cream contained in 100 kg of

product . and

(b) the other amount indicated. (2) T h e levy on 100 kg of product falling within this subheading is equal to :

(a) the amount per kilogram shown, multiplied by the weight of the dried milk contained in 100 kg of product

plus, where appropriate,

(b) the other amount indicated.

3) Products falling within this subheading imported from a third country under special arrangements concluded

between that country and the C o m m u n i t y for w h i c h an IMA 1 certificate issued under the conditions provided

for in Regulation (EEC) N o 1 7 6 7 / 8 2 is issued are subject to the levies in A n n e x I to that Regulation.

(••) Lactose and lactose syrup falling within subheading 1702 10 10 are subject, pursuant to Regulation (EEC) N o

2 7 3 0 / 7 5 , to the same levy as that applicable to lactose falling within subheading 1702 10 90.
