opening, allocating and providing for the administration of a Community tariff quota for certain handmade products ( 1989)

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , according to the economic outlook for the quota year in question ;

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : 2 . The second part of 4 848 400 ECU shall constitute the Community reserve.

Article 1 3 . Regulations ( EEC) No 2779 / 78 (2 ) and (EEC) No 289 / 84 ( 3 ) shall apply for the purposes of determining the equivalent value in national currencies of amounts 1 . 4. By way of derogation from paragraphs 1 , 2 and 3 , a It shall ensure that the drawing which exhausts the reserve Member State may draw lower shares than those specified does not exceed the balance available and to this end shall if there are grounds for believing that in those paragraphs notify the amount of that balance to the Member State they may not be used up . Article7¶

Article 4 1 . At the Commission's request, Member States shall inform it of imports of the products concerned actually charged against their shares . Article 6

Article 9 The Commission shall keep an account of the shares drawn by the Member States pursuant to Articles 2 and 3 and shall , as soon as it has been notified , inform each State of Member States and the Commission shall cooperate closely the extent to which the reserve has been used up . to ensure that this Regulation is complied with .

It shall inform the Member States, not later than 5 October Article 10 1989 of the amount still in reserve after amounts have been returned thereto pursuant to Article 5 . This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1989 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
