COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 1655/89 of 12 June 1989 amending Regulation (EEC) No 1562/89 introducing a countervailing charge on fresh lemons originating in Spain (except the Canary Islands)
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas, pursuant to Article 136 (2) of the Act of Acces sion of Spain and Portugal (4), the arrangements applicable Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European to trade between, on the one hand, a new Member State Economic Community, and, on the other, the Community as constituted at 31 Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and December 1985 must be those which were applicable before accession ; Portugal, Having regard to Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72 of the Whereas Article 140 (1) provides for an 8 % reduction in Council of 18 May 1972 on the common organization of the countervailing charges applicable under Regulation the market in fruit and vegetables ('), as last amended by (EEC) No 1035/72 during the fourth year after accession, Regulation (EEC) No 1119/89 (2), and in particular the second subparagraph of Article 27 (2) thereof, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1 562/89 (3), introduced a countervailing charge on fresh lemons origi nating in Spain (except the Canary Islands) ; Article 1 Whereas Article 26 (1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72 In Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 1562/89 'ECU 2,05' laid down the conditions under which a charge intro is hereby replaced by 'ECU 0,28'. duced in application of Article 25 of that Regulation is amended ; whereas if those conditions are taken into consideration the countervailing charge on the import of Article 2 fresh lemons originating in Spain (except the Canary Islands) must be altered ; This Regulation shall enter into force on 13 June 1989.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
