of 6 November 1989

opening and providing for the administration of a Community tariff quota for certain hand made products ( 1990)

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES , HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION :

Article 1 Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 1 . From 1 January to 31 December 1990 , the customs thereof, duties applicable to imports of the products listed in Annex I shall be totally suspended within the limits of a Community tariff quota bearing the serial No 09.0105 and Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, being of a volume corresponding to a value of ECU 10 540 000 subject to a maximum of ECU 1 200 000 for each six-figure code of the combined nomenclature. Whereas, as regards certain hand made products, the Community has declared its readiness to open an annual duty-free Community tariff quota of an overall amount Within the limits of this tariff quota , Spain and Portugal which , for 1989 , amounted to ECU 10 540 000 with a shall apply duties calculated in accordance with the maximum value of ECU 1 200 000 for each group of relevant provisions of the 1985 Act of Accession . products considered; whereas products may, however , be admitted under the Community tariff quota only on presentation to the Community's customs authorities of a 2 . Article 3 If the quantities requested are greater than the available balance of the quota volume , allocation shall be made on a If an importer presents , in a Member State , a declaration pro rata basis with respect to the requests .
