fixing the maximum buying-in price and the quantities of beef bought in for the 24th partial invitation to tender under Regulation (EEC) No 1627/89
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas the Management Committee for Beef and Veal has not delivered an opinion within the time limit set by Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European its chairman, Economic Community,

Whereas, pursuant to Commission Regulation (EEC) No For the 24th partial invitation to tender opened by Regu 859/89 of 29 March 1989 laying down detailed rules for lation (EEC) No 1 627/89 : the application of intervention measures in the beef and veal sector (3), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No (a) for category A : 1282/90 (4), an invitation to tender was opened by — the maximum buying-in price is hereby fixed at Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1627/89 of 9 June ECU 273 per 100 kilograms of carcases or half 1989 on the buying-in of beef by invitation to tender (J), carcases of quality R3, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1513/90 (6) ; — the maximum quantity of carcases or half-carcases Whereas, in accordance with Article 11 ( 1 ) of Regulation accepted is hereby fixed at 13 669 tonnes ; the (EEC) No 859/89, a maximum buying-in price is to be quantities offered at a price of over ECU 271,5 per fixed for quality R3, where appropriate, for each partial 100 kilograms are hereby reduced by 40 % invitation to tender in the light of the tenders received ; pursuant to Article 1 1 (3) of Regulation (EEC) No whereas, in accordance with Article 1 2 of that Regulation, 859/89 ; only tenders lower than or equal to the maximum price are to be accepted ; (b) for category C :
