COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 1901 /90 of 4 July 1990 introducing a corrective amount on tht* import of fresh lemons into the Community of Ten from Spain (except the Canary Islands)
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, remained for two consecutive market days at a level at least ECU 0,6 below the Community offer price ; whereas Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European a corrective amount equal to the difference between the Economic Community , Community offer price and the Spanish offer price must therefore be introduced for these products from Spain Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and (except the Canary Islands) ; Portugal, Whereas if the system is to operate normally the offer Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 3709/89 price of the Spanish product should be calculated on the of 4 December 1989 laying down general rules for imple following basis : menting the Act of Accession of Spain and Portugal as — in the case of currencies the spot market rates for regards the compensatory mechanism for imports of fruit which are maintained in relationship to each other and vegetables from Spain ('), and in particular Article 4 within a band of 2,25 % , a rate of exchange based on (2) thereof, their central rate, multiplied by the corrective factor Whereas Article 152 of the Act of Accession introduces provided for in the last subparagraph of Article 3 (1 ) from 1 January 1990 a compensatory mechanism for of Council Regulation (EEC) No 1 676/85 (4), as last imports into the Community as constituted on 31 amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1636/87 (*) ; December 1985, hereinafter called 'the Community of — in the case of other currencies, an exchange rate based Ten', of fruit and vegetables from Spain (except the on the arithmetic mean of the spot market rate for Canary Islands) for which a reference price is fixed with each of these currencies recorded over a given period regard to third countries ; in relation to the Community currencies referred to in the previous indent and the aforesaid coefficient, Whereas Regulation (EEC) No 3709/89 lays down general rules for applying the said compensatory mechanism ;
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1487/90 (2) fixed, for the 1990/ 1991 marketing year, the Community offer price for fresh lemons applicable with regard to Article 1 Spain (except Canary Islands) ; On import into the Community of Ten of fresh lemons Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 3815/89 (3) (CN ex 0805 30 10) from Spain (except the Canary lays down detailed rules for applying the compensatory Islands) a corrective amount of ECU 6,22 per 100 kilo mechanism on imports of fruit and vegetables from Spain grams net shall be levied.
