REGULATION (EEC) No 1092/70 OF THE COMMISSION of 10 June 1970 supplementing Regulation (EEC) No 1403/69 as regards the denaturing of common wheat and rye of bread-making quality with fish oil
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : MUNITIES ,
Article 1 Having • regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community ; The following shall be added to the third paragraph of Article 1 of Regulation No 1403/69 : Having regard to Council Regulation No 120/67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common 'In particular, denaturing with fish oil or fish liver organisation of the market in cereals, as last amended must satisfy the requirements laid down in Annex by Regulation (EEC) No 2463/69,-' and in particular II .' Article 7 (5 ) thereof;
Whereas the third paragraph of Article 1 of Article 2 Commission Regulation (EEC) No 1403/693 of 18 July 1969 laying down detailed rules for the application of the provisions concerning denaturing The following Annex II shall be added to Regulation of common wheat and rye of bread-making quality, (EEC) No 1403/69 : as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 849/70,4 provided that in the case of denaturing otherwise 'ANNEX II than by colouring the method used must be at least as reliable as the standard method ; ( a) Fish oil or fish liver, filtered, not deodorised, not decolourised, with no additives
Whereas denaturing with fish oil or fish liver is the ( b ) Characteristics : method used for a substantial proportion of Minimum iodine content 120 denatured products ; whereas certain fish oils or fish livers may not be effective, so that denaturing by that Colour content 7—14 Gartner method should be authorised only with oils which or 5—19 (FAC) are effective for the purpose and whereas the characteristics of that method should be determined ; Acidity between 3% and 4%
Maximum point of solidification 10° C Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the Opinion of the (c) Minimum quantity to be used per metric ton Management Committee for Cereals ; of cereal to be denatured : 4 kg.'
