REGULATION (EEC) No 1137/70 OF THE COMMISSION of 17 June 1970 supplementing Regulation (EEC) No 822/70 on a standing invitation to tender for the sale of white sugar intended for animal feed and closing the invitation to tender for the export of white sugar opened by Regulation (EEC) No 923/70

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COM­ Whereas in application of Commission Regulation MUNITIES , (EEC) No 923/705 of 21 May 1970 on a standing invitation to tender for the sale of white sugar intended for export and held by the German intervention agency, as amended • by Regulation (EEC) No 1081/70, that agency has marketed the Having regard to the Treaty establishing; the quantities of sugar for which tenders were invited by European Economic Community ; means of weekly partial invitations to tender ; whereas the standing invitation to tender should therefore be closed ; Having regard to Council Regulation No 1009/67/EEC1 of 18 December 1967 on the common organisation of the market in sugar, as last amended Whereas the measures provided - for in this Regulation by Regulation (EEC) No 853/70,2 and in particular are in accordance with the Opinion of the Article 10 (3 ) thereof; Management Committee for Sugar;

Whereas in application of Commission Regulation No 822/703 of 4 May 1970 on a standing invitation to tender for the sale of white sugar intended for animal feed and held by the German intervention HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : agency, as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1081/70,4 that agency issues partial invitations for the sale of white sugar intended for animal feed and for the purpose of determining the denaturing premium ; Article 1 whereas that Regulation only invites tenders for a certain quantity of sugar held by that agency, given the state of the sugar; whereas it would be well for the same reason to add a further relatively small 1 . The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 822/70 quantity of sugar; shall be supplemented by the Annex to this Regulation.

2. The period for the first submission of tenders in 1 OJ No 308, 18.12.1967, p. 1 . respect of the lots shown in the Annex to this 2 OJ No L 103 , 13.5.1970, p. 2. Article2¶

The standing invitation to tender opened by This Regulation shall enter into force on the day Regulation (EEC) No 923/70 shall be closed with following its publication in the Official Journal of the effect from 2 July 1970. European Communities .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
