REGULATION (EEC) No 1529/71 OF THE COUNCIL of 12 July 1971 amending 'inter alia' the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 1052/68 on the import and export system for products processed from cereals and rice

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas the words 'Grobgriess und Feingriess' and 'gries en griesmeeP have been substituted respectively for the words ' Griitze ujid Griess' in the German Having regard to the Treaty establishing the version of Regulation No 120/67/EEC and for the European Economic Community ; words ' grutten, gries en griesmeel' in the Dutch version of Regulation Nos 120/67/EEC and Having regard to- Council Regulation No 359/67/EEC ; whereas a number of Council 120/67/EEC1 of 13 June 1967 on the common Regulations should be amended accordingly ; organisation of the market in cereals, as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1528/71 ,2 arid in particular Articles 5 (5 ) ( a ), 6 (2 ), 11 ( 1 ), 14 (3 ), 16 (5 ), 17 HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION : and 23 (4) thereof;

Having regard to Council Regulation No . Article 1 359/67/EEC3 of 25 July 1967 on the common organisation of the market in rice, as last amended by The Annex to this Regulation shall be substituted for Regulation (EEC) No 1528/71 , and in particular that part of the Annex to Regulation ( EEC ) No Articles 12 (3 ), 17 (5 ) and 18 thereof; 1052/68 which relates to tariff heading No 11.02.

Whereas Annex A to Regulation No 120/67/EEC has Article 2 been amended in respect of tariff heading No 11.02 ; whereas, therefore, the Annex to Council Regulation (EEC ) No 1052/684 of- 23 July 1968 on the import The following footnote shall be substituted for the and export system for products processed from footnote to the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No cereals and from rice, as last amended by Regulation 1052/68 : (EEC) No 154/71 5 should be amended accordingly and the resultant new nomenclature adopted ; 'For the purpose of distinguishing between products falling within headings Nos 11.01 and Whereas the amendments made to Regulation No 11.02 and those falling within sub-heading No 120/67/EEC entail also an amendment to the 23.02A, products falling within headings Nos Common Customs Tariff and to the additional notes 11.01 and 11.02 are those having both of the thereto ; whereas the new additional note to the following : Common Customs Tariff should therefore be substituted for the footnote to the Annex to — a starch content (determined by the modified Ewers polarimetric method) exceeding 45% Regulation (EEC) No 1052/68 , as amended by by weight referred to dry matter, Regulation (EEC) No 302/69° ; — an ash content, by weight, referred to dry matter (after deduction of any added mineral matter) not exceeding 1*6% for rice, 2-5 for wheat and rye, 3% for barley, 4% 1 OJ No 117, 19.6.1967, p. 2269. for buckwheat, 5% for oats and 2% for other 2 OJ No L 162, 20.7.1971 , p. 1 . cereals . 3 OT No 174, 31.7.1967, p . 1 . 4 OJ No L 179, 25.7.1968 , p. 8 . s OJ No L 22, 28.1.1971 , p . 3 . Article 3 ( a) in the German version, the words 'Grobgriess und Feingriess ' shall be substituted for the words In Article 9 (3 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1052/68, the ' Grütze und Griess ', tariff sub-heading 11.02 G shall be substituted for the sub-heading 11.02 F. ( b) in the Dutch version, the words 'gries en griesmeel' shall be substituted for the words Article 4 'grutten, gries en griesmeel'.

In the first indent of Article 10 ( 1 ) of Regulation (EEC) No 1052/68 the sub-headings 11.02 A II to G shall be substituted for the tariff sub-headings 11.02 Article 6 A II to F.

Article 5 This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal Regulations No 367/67/EEC,1 (EEC) No 1397/692 of the European Communities. It shall be applicable and (EEC) No 1055/713 shall be amended as follows : from 1 August 1971 .

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States .
